Yard Operative 

Sparshatt Truck & Van Ltd is a Mercedes-Benz commercial dealership and has been established within Kent for over 45 years. Today we operate four successful sales and service sites across the county.

Due to demand at our Dartford site we are looking to recruit a Yard Operative. This role is an essential part of ensuring a smooth and efficient operation and is responsible for:

• Moving all vehicles around our yard and into the workshop - this is the primary function and can get very busy at times.
• Signing vehicles in and out of the business
• Ensuring safe parking and storage onsite
• Liaising with Service Reception and Workshop Controllers for keys and vehicles
• Returning vehicles back to the customers

Please note, this can be a very physically demanding job.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A valid HGV Class 2, PSV and/or Class 1 would be desirable.
• Previous experience of working as an HGV/LCV/PSV or delivery driver
• No more than 6 current points on license and no DR10s
• Understanding of driver regulations and laws
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Customer orientated
• Ability to use your own initiative
